Clarify is looking for Business Development Director to spearhead our expansion into new market segments. This role requires a strategic thinker with a passion for innovation in healthcare technology and the success of various parts of the healthcare ecosystem. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, developing strategic partnerships, and landing contracts with exciting new prospects to support Clarify’s achievement of our growth objectives. We strive to empower Digital Health, Benefit Consultants, and various other non-traditional (i.e., non-health plan, non-provider) players of the healthcare system by providing them with the insights needed to make informed decisions and improve outcomes. The Director of Business Development will report directly to the Senior Vice President (SVP) of Growth. In this pivotal role, the Director will work closely with the SVP to align the business development strategy with the company's overall growth objectives and vision

The Role




    • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to enter and expand within new market segments, including Digital Health and Benefits Consultants.

    • Identify, evaluate, and prioritize potential business opportunities and partnerships based on strategic alignment and market potential.

    • Reach out to key personas at these market segments to generate a large volume of leads and opportunities.

    • Lead negotiations and close deals with key clients and partners, ensuring alignment with our company's values and long-term goals.

    • Collaborate with the product and marketing teams to tailor our offerings to meet the unique needs of new market segments.

    • Maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, competitive landscape, and regulatory environment to adapt strategies accordingly.

    • Work with the Product, Marketing, and GTM teams to synthesize your learnings into a broader GTM strategy for Clarify.

    • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and networking events to build brand awareness and forge strategic relationships.

    • Be a quota-carrying individual at Clarify, responsible for achieving bookings growth in market segments outside of Insurers and Providers.

    • Work cross-functionally to learn about and deliver Clarify’s products to the greater healthcare system.

    • Depending on the individual entering the role, support Clarify’s broader GTM and channel partner strategy.







What we are looking for




    • We are always looking for new team members who will add to our culture and have a strong passion for impact. In particular, the Business Development Director will have:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, or a related field. MBA or relevant graduate degree preferred.

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Business Development or Sales, with a proven track record in the healthcare or technology sectors. Experience in data and analytics services highly desirable.

    • Experience negotiating and discussing strategic partnerships.

    • Strong understanding of the healthcare industry, particularly in areas such as Digital Health and Benefit Consulting.

    • Exceptional interpersonal and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers.

    • Strategic mindset with the ability to think critically and creatively to identify and pursue new opportunities.

    • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and persuasive manner.
