Job Summary:

ArchWell Health wants to ensure a best-in-class payroll experience for our business and colleagues. Our new Program Manager, Payroll will lead our time collection, payroll processing, and managed tax filing processes.



This role will own the end-to-end payroll process of a quickly growing company. This is an opportunity to not only lead payroll and related processes, but also to recommend and implement process changes needed to support our high growth company.



This developing leader will be monitoring time collection and auditing time for our biweekly payroll. After ensuring appropriate approvals, they will work with our managed vendor to audit/verify the payroll before processing. When issues arise, they will work either with our HRIS vendor or internally with our HR team to bring to resolution. In addition to these payroll processing responsibilities, they will also manage the relationship with our payroll tax provider, ensuring any filing errors are corrected expediently.



Duties/Responsibilities :



  • Manage time collection process for over 50 locations and shared service colleagues

  • Partner with Operations leaders and HR Partners to improve payroll processes, audit, and reporting as ArchWell Health grows

  • Collaborate with Dir, HR Operations, our HRIS team, and our HRIS vendor to suggest documented and auditable process improvements, saving time and/or improve accuracy for both our colleagues and leaders

  • Create documented and auditable processes to streamline the payment of sign-on bonuses, referral bonuses, commission payments, guarantee payments, and other required payments

  • Act as primary lead of managed payroll tax relationship, ensuring accurate filings, G/L coding, and audit

  • Work with Finance to ensure bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls are recorded correctly in G/L

  • Manage virtual document service for wage attachment

  • Resolve payroll issues from colleagues, leaders, or HR partners

Required Skills/Abilities:



  • Principles and practices involved in payroll administration

  • Knowledge of National laws, regulations, and policies governing payroll

  • Experience processing time in an enterprise-wide HRIS, Dayforce preferred

  • Experience with filing and auditing payroll tax returns

  • Above-average Excel user, specifically in dealing with data files

  • Experience communicating directly with colleagues, leaders, and National/State/local agencies

  • Self-starter that is ready to grow and suggest process changes to improve our organization’s approach to payroll

Education and Experience:



  • Four-year degree or equivalent experience

  • 6-8 years of payroll experience required, with experience in lead or supervisory role strongly[SK3] preferred

  • Have led remote time collection for a multi-site business

  • Experience with payroll tax required, with multi-entity organizations preferred
