The Creative Communications Associate will execute and enhance the organization's communication strategies and visual storytelling. This position supports the overall communications goals of the organization and involves creating compelling visual content including digital and print product marketing materials, overseeing video projects (editing skills not needed), presentations, and data visualizations. This role will report to the Communications Director and work closely with outside consultants who specialize in branding, video, photography, and website/UI



We are looking for candidates who are collaborative, adaptive and mission-driven. This is a remote position based in the United States. Candidates will be expected to collaborate cross-functionally with remote teams based across the country



Responsibilities

  • Create and coordinate visual presentations and interactive media assets, designing art and copy layouts for various external audiences

  • Collaborate with various teams including policy and market development, customer success, and product to gather information and materials for design

  • Illustrate established design concepts by designing rough layouts, considering arrangement, size, type size and style, and related aesthetic concepts

  • Support website management by ensuring content, visuals, and layout are continuously updated

  • Support copy and content creation by drafting content for website, presentations, social media, and internal and external newsletters

  • Manage coordination of photography, artwork, and video

  • Research and analyze the targeted audience, suggesting effective communication channels

  • Utilize applications such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, and HTML for design purposes

  • Ensure assets and materials are consistent with the company brand

  • Support copy and content creation by drafting content for website, presentations, social media, and internal and external newsletters

  • Meet deadlines consistently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating a solid working knowledge of communication strategies and design principles

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Graphic Design, or a combination of educational and professional experience commensurate with this level of experience

  • Technical expertise in design software such as Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Adobe Creative Suite, and presentation software capabilities like Google Slides

  • Visual thinker and storyteller with an ability to convey technical concepts visually

  • Persuasive communication skills to convey messages effectively

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

  • Detail-oriented with a keen eye for design and creativity

  • Ability to meet deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously

Salary Range: $72,000 to $88,000 depending on experience



Location: This position can be performed remotely from anywhere in the United States
