Role Objective: Be an agent of social change by managing the Content + Brand editorial ecosystem for Soluna. Edit, develop, and publish original in-app and social media content to inspire Gen Z to advocate for their own wellbeing.
Main responsibilities:
Content creation & delivery:
- Edit the work of a team of talented copywriters to develop and publish high-volume, original content for the Soluna app and Soluna’s social media channels in a pitch-perfect Gen Z voice
- Demonstrate versatility and short-form finesse by editing and developing copy for videos, quizzes, text chats, meditations, carousel-style stories, interactive tools, UX projects, social media, and more
- Use your red pen to ensure alignment with Soluna’s Content + Brand style guides while also prioritizing app and social media engagement, advocacy of user needs, and commitment to inclusivity
- Mentor and challenge copywriters to craft novel, nuanced perspectives that empathize with Gen Z mental health struggles, debunk stigma, and encourage self-efficacy
- Conduct brand reviews of copy from colleagues, stakeholders, and senior leadership to ensure alignment with Soluna’s Content + Brand style guides and to safeguard the integrity of the brand org-wide
Content management:
- Manage the archiving of decommissioned content, updating of pre-existing content, and publishing of weekly new content in Contentful
- Develop content mapping tools and audits by leveraging the integration of Contentful and Airtable
- Conduct quarterly and semi-annual content audits for the Soluna app, align audit data to content engagement data, and summarize findings in a report to inform future content strategy
- Work with the product and development teams to address content bugs and advocate for continuous improvement and innovation of content management capabilities in Contentful
- Collaborate with the Senior Writer of Health + Research to leverage Soluna’s in-app analytics platform, interpret and summarize content engagement data, and use metrics to inform content strategy
- Support the Senior Writer of Health + Research and the UXR team in user research design and analysis
Content strategy:
- Work with Content Team leaders to develop a fresh, dynamic editorial and social content calendar reflective of Soluna’s commitment to equity, inclusivity, and social responsibility
- Assist the Editorial Director in developing and maintaining Soluna’s Content + Brand style guides
- Participate in content research, discussion, analysis, pitching, and co-creation
- Identify gaps, risks, and opportunities in Soluna content and propose solutions and strategies
Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Education, or related field.
- Portfolio showcasing seasoned fluency in copywriting, editorial work, or content management.
- Six or more years experience in writing and editing digital content for Gen Z, preferably in mental health.
- Extraordinary organization skills, self-directedness, and intuition.
- Commitment to a human-centric team culture underscored by empathy, inclusivity, and zero egos.
- Growth mindset attuned to creative risk taking, failure, problem solving, and the art of starting over.
- Familiarity with Google Workspace, Figma and/or Miro, Slack, Monday, Contentful, Airtable, and Tableau (or aptitude and willingness to learn).
- Ability to create and thrive in the beautiful, fast-paced ambiguity of a start-up.
- Genuine passion for mental healthcare accessibility and big-hearted sense of purpose to be a force of positive change.
Compensation: $105,000 approximately
