Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the role of Maintenance Millwright is to diagnose and repair a wide range of equipment and utilities used within the precast manufacturing plants & buildings.

- Perform all duties in a safe manner.
- Work with other Maintenance team members to accomplish tasks.
- Operate equipment such as overhead cranes, genie booms, forklifts, milling machine, lathe, horizonal bandsaw and other hand-powered tools.
- Troubleshoot and test equipment.
- Performing mechanical repairs on equipment.
- Execute schedule PM’s and report findings to supervisor.
- Weld and fabricate as required.
- Facilitate the start-up and installation of new equipment.
- Work is performed and documented through a CMMS program
- Work with maintenance supervisor for scheduling of down time to work on equipment or projects
- Minimum 1-3 years as a licensed millwright
- Proficient in the use of all tools of trade,
- A firm understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic and conveying systems
- Practical working experiences are an asset
- Strong work ethic and highly motivated.
- Ability to work with little or no supervision.
- Reliable transportation
- Detailed record-keeping abilities.
- Strong communication skills, verbal and written.
- Provide your own standard tools.
- Proficient in use of technology e.g. cell phone CMMS programs & email
