Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform tasks with the safety of themselves and others in mind
- Ensure quality product while performing tasks
- Ability to read and understand basic measuring tools
- Stand and/or walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to distinguish different colors and shades of fabric
- Layout and cut vinyl fabric according to the pattern
- Prepare cushion substrate for final upholstery assembly
- Prepare cushion foam for final upholstery assembly
- Use glue and other materials in a responsible manner to eliminate waste
- Sew vinyl material as necessary
- Stretch and staple vinyl to wood backing
- Maintain clean and organized work area
- Document actions by completing production and quality forms
- Utilize Kanban system to restock depleted materials
- Inspect materials & finished goods in accordance with specifications
- Performs other duties as assigned
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous upholstery experience strongly preferred
- Cushion stretching and stapling experience
- Vinyl pattern layout and cutting experience
