Hours of Work : Monday to Friday 1:00 pm to 9:30
Position Summary
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Specialist is responsible for installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining production and facility equipment to support safe and efficient operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and perform corrective and preventative maintenance on production and facility equipment
- Assist with equipment installations
- Maintain and execute preventative maintenance programs
- Work collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot, disassemble, repair, and reassemble equipment.
- Support contractors and external service providers during repairs, installations, and preventative maintenance activities.
- Participate in work planning and continuous improvement initiatives to maximize equipment performance and minimize downtime.
- Perform all work in accordance with company safety standards, housekeeping requirements, quality expectations, and regulatory compliance
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), or related trade certification considered an asset.
- Proven experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
- Experience using computerized maintenance systems is considered an asset.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing effectively within a team.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
