About The Team
As part of the Enterprise Product team, the Enterprise Engineering team is responsible for bridging the gap between Stripe's core capabilities and the bespoke needs of the world's largest organizations. Our mission is to improve Stripe's product-market fit with enterprise users to win more deals and grow revenue, while giving every enterprise user an excellent experience as they onboard, activate, and grow their business with Stripe.
Enterprise Engineering tackles ambiguous, complex problems in a cross functional manner to deliver an exceptional Enterprise experience on Stripe. The key missions of the team is to 1) develop specialized Enterprise-grade product features for industry verticals 2) provide a configuration platform that streamlines onboarding Enterprise users onto Stripe and 3) deliver a consistently great and smooth experience when migrating sensitive data onto Stripe.
The team consists of full stack engineers who tackle this user goal through scalable and secure infrastructure, dashboard interfaces and internal administrative tools.
What you’ll do
- Design, build, and maintain scalable, reliable and performant services and systems
- Collaborate with other engineers across Stripe, as well as stakeholders across product, design, risk, legal, and operations
- Build easy to use systems that streamlines adoption of Stripe and enable safe migration of data
- Make effective tradeoffs that consider business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation
- Improve engineering standards, tooling, and processes
Minimum Requirements
- 2+ years of industry experience shipping high-quality products
- Strong analytical capability and ability to quickly ramp up in a new area, and tackle ambiguous problems
- Enjoy and have experience building end-to-end solution, including full development lifecycle of deploying and maintaining this infrastructure
- Experience with web software development
- Hold yourself and others to a high bar when working with production systems
- Take pride in taking ownership and driving projects to business impact
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with both technical and non-technical counterparts
- Able to reason clearly and move with urgency in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment
- Able to think outside of the box and be creative in designing and delivering the best solutions for our users
- Enjoy a range of product development activities, from architecture design and planning, to user interviews, to writing code
Office-assigned Stripes in most of our locations are currently expected to spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This expectation may vary depending on role, team and location. For example, Stripes in Stripe Delivery Center roles in Mexico City, Mexico, Bengaluru, India, and Dublin, Ireland work 100% from the office. Also, some teams have greater in-office attendance requirements, to appropriately support our users and workflows, which the hiring manager will discuss. This approach helps strike a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility when possible.
Pay and benefits
The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is CA$135,200 - CA$202,800. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
