The Maintenance Technician assists with repairs, preventative maintenance, and general upkeep to ensure the hotel remains safe, functional, and well maintained while providing friendly, professional guest service.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and general repairs throughout the hotel.
- Troubleshoot and assist with electrical, HVAC, plumbing, furniture, fixtures, and equipment.
- Maintain hotel grounds and ensure maintenance equipment is in proper working condition.
- Complete assigned maintenance documentation.
- Identify and immediately report or correct hazardous conditions.
- Follow all safety, security, and brand standards.
- Assist guests professionally and protect guest privacy.
- Assist with houseman duties when assigned.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of electrical, HVAC, plumbing, and preventative maintenance.
- Knowledge of hand and power tools and safe operating practices.
- Dependable, service-focused, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Must meet company security clearance requirements.
- Must be able to push/pull up to 100 lbs. and lift/carry up to 60 lbs. unassisted.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and bend, reach, climb ladders, crawl, and kneel.
- May work outdoors in hot or cold conditions.
- Must have scheduling flexibility, including nights and weekends.
- This is an on-site hotel position.
