The Accounts Payable Coordinator ensures supplier invoices are processed accurately and on schedule, resolves invoice and purchase order discrepancies, and works with the accounting team to respond to internal and external inquiries in a timely, professional manner.

As part of the team that supports the organization’s disbursement cycle, the Accounts Payable Coordinator will:

  • Work with suppliers to resolve differences between invoices and company-issued purchase orders.
  • Maintain accurate and complete journal entries.
  • Use analytical skills to support daily accounts payable work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain organized records of matched and processed accounts payable documents.
  • Receive and process supplier invoices daily, including sorting, coding, and entering invoices into NRT’s accounting system.
  • Reconcile monthly vendor statements by matching invoices to purchase orders and receiving documentation.
  • Maintain regular vendor communication to keep accounts current and accurate.
  • Provide accounts payable information and support to internal departments as needed.
  • Coordinate and manage payment runs.
  • Respond promptly and professionally to internal and external inquiries related to invoices and accounts payable matters.
  • Support the development and improvement of finance policies and procedures, particularly those related to accounts payable.
  • Monitor departmental costs and explain significant monthly expenditures or variances.
  • Review accounts payable postings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and proper classification.
  • Investigate and respond to vendor account inquiries.
  • Provide backup reception coverage when required.
  • Follow workplace health and safety guidelines to help maintain a safe environment for self and co-workers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Requirements

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or a related field, combined with strong mathematical aptitude.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office applications.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to organize work and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable, with strong follow-through on assigned tasks.
  • Quick learner who demonstrates initiative and takes a proactive approach to solving problems.
  • Able to work independently while contributing effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Minimum of one year of experience in a similar accounts payable or accounting support role is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, supported by analytical thinking and sound problem-solving abilities.

This is an existing vacancy. The base salary range for this role listed is based on market indicators to determine compensation, and an offer will consider various factors including experience, qualifications, skills, and training.
