Dishwasher / StewardWe are looking for a hardworking, reliable, and team-oriented Dishwasher / Steward to join our kitchen team. The Steward plays an essential role in keeping the kitchen clean, organized, and running efficiently throughout service.
Responsibilities
- Wash, sanitize, and properly store dishes, cookware, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized dish area throughout the shift.
- Keep floors, drains, walls, trash areas, and other kitchen areas clean and sanitary.
- Assist cooks and kitchen staff with maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
- Take out trash and recycling as needed.
- Properly clean and sanitize equipment, tools, and work areas.
- Maintain cleanliness of dish machines, sinks, and surrounding areas.
- Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards.
- Assist with opening and closing cleaning duties.
- Communicate with the kitchen team when supplies, chemicals, or equipment are needed.
- Work efficiently during busy service while maintaining attention to cleanliness and organization.
- Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume restaurant environment.
- Positive attitude and willingness to work as part of a team.
- Strong attention to cleanliness and detail.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move kitchen equipment and supplies.
- Previous restaurant or dishwashing experience is preferred but not required.
