We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Metrology Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in metrology, with a focus on testing and maintaining precision measurement equipment. This permanent position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech manufacturing environment where you will be a key player in ensuring the quality and accuracy of our products.

Responsibilities:
As a Metrology Technician, you will be responsible for a wide range of duties including:

1. Performing precise and accurate measurements using a variety of metrology equipment.
2. Ensuring all measurement equipment is properly calibrated and maintained.
3. Developing and implementing metrology procedures and standards.
4. Assisting in the design and fabrication of custom measurement fixtures.
5. Collaborating with the engineering team to identify and resolve potential issues related to measurement accuracy.
6. Conducting routine inspections of manufacturing processes to ensure compliance with established standards.
7. Training other team members on the proper use of metrology equipment and procedures.
8. Documenting and reporting on measurement results and equipment status.
9. Participating in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and efficiency.
10. Staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in metrology and applying this knowledge to your role.

Qualifications:
The successful Metrology Technician candidate will possess the following qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in metrology or a related field.
2. Extensive knowledge of metrology principles and practices.
3. Proficiency in using a wide range of metrology equipment.
4. Strong technical skills, including the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
5. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
8. A commitment to maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.
9. Knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control principles.
10. Experience in a high-tech manufacturing environment is preferred.
11. A degree in a related field is a plus.
