Position Overview
Our BC HR Team is looking for an HR Assistant to support the overall goals and people strategy for the region. This role is based on site in Vancouver and will report to the BC HR Manager, and work together with other members of our local team, supporting all BC Dealership Operations, and our staff base of more than 1200 people.
The expected pay for this position is $50,000 - $60,000
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
- Supporting all locations with recruitment, including but not limited to: posting and managing jobs, creating offer letters, assisting with reference checks, and onboarding.
- Ensuring employee changes, transfers, and dismissal paperwork are accurate and processed in a timely manner
- Providing letters of employment when requested.
- Communicating employee movement notifications to required departments.
- Assisting in the creation of HR policies and procedures within scope of responsibilities as needed.
- Assisting in various HR projects - both regional and national - as needed.
- Managing Headcount reports and trackers
- Building and maintaining relationships with other support functions including payroll
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Undergraduate degree or diploma in Human Resources.
- Excellent interpersonal skills - must be an effective communicator both verbally and in writing.
- Growth mindset – willing to take on new tasks with a willingness to grow personally and professionally
- Ability to prioritize tasks for self and others and follow through to completion.
- Excellent follow up, internal customer service and administrative skills.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Ability to work in a team environment to achieve common goals
- Proficient in the MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- HRIS system familiarity an asset
- Legally entitled to work in Canada.
