The Editor’s primary responsibility is to work with The Pub’s clients to provide full editorial services on traditional and digital advertising. The Editor is responsible for overseeing all job related operations of the edit suite(s), oversee the workflow for their jobs, and mentor/supervise the Assistant Editor(s). The Editor works closely with the Executive Producers to review and update ongoing processes and operations within The Pub while also running editorial sessions and serving the needs of the clients. This is an Intermediate level role.

Responsibilities

In this client facing role, foster strong relationships with existing and new clients, ensure clients are receiving the best possible service on all jobs while working The Pub.
Oversee the day-to-day operations of the editorial suite(s).
Provide feedback and mentorship to Assistant Editor(s) on an ongoing basis.
Receive and review incoming boards and project opportunities together with the Producers and determine the best course of action for each project.
Lead client attended editorial sessions (in-person & remote).
Update and cut new reels.
Attend internal meetings as required.
Communicate with Assistant Editor, Producer(s), and Client Service on all session matters to ensure technical and client service standards are being upheld.
Provide set supervision and other project related support when required.
Provide coverage and support for colleagues during busy times as well as during their vacation and time off.
Provide ongoing feedback on key issues within The Pub.

Qualifications

3-5 years video editing experience, preferably in the advertising space
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, as well at other programs in the Adobe Suite (Photoshop, After Effects).
Able to communicate creative and technical thoughts and ideas
Able to multitask and prioritize effectively
Demonstrated artistic ability
Able to meet deadlines and follow directions
Able to thrive in a high pressure, detail-oriented environment

Salary

Transparency matters to us. The salary range for this position is CAD $70,000 to $80,000 per year. Actual compensation within this range will be based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and applicable certifications. This range reflects what we reasonably expect to offer based on current market data.
