Founded in 1963, Olympic International is a leading, privately-owned provider of HVAC equipment solutions in Western Canada, specializing in the electrification of buildings. Headquartered in North Vancouver, the company currently serves British Columbia and the Yukon and works with building owners, mechanical contractors, consulting engineers, and EPC firms across industrial, commercial, and institutional markets. With a team of 100, Olympic has built its reputation on technical excellence, trusted partnerships, and support throughout the equipment life cycle. The business is now preparing for a significant new phase of growth and market expansion with plans to grow three-fold. To drive this growth, a new role of Director, Business Development has been created. The mandate spans three strategic growth waves: expanding equipment market share in British Columbia and the Yukon, helping shape a retrofit business that responds to the decarbonization of existing buildings, and establishing a Canada-wide national product distribution business unit.
Reporting to the CEO, the Director, Business Development will play a critical role driving Olympic International's continued growth. Focused on strategic market expansion, relationship development, and customer engagement, the Director will play a pivotal role building partnerships, identifying opportunities, and helping shape the future growth of the organization. Working closely with consulting engineers, mechanical contractors, developers, building owners, and internal sales and service teams, the Director will drive Olympic’s continued expansion across both established and emerging markets.
The ideal candidate is a strategic and hands-on business development professional with B2B experience in commercial/industrial construction, construction services or distribution businesses, ideally where they have both expanded a current product/market and also created the business plan and built out a team for a new product/market. Ideally suited to professionals who enjoy strategic influence with hands-on commercial execution, the preferred candidate will be highly analytical in their analysis of market opportunities, capable of influencing complex multi-stakeholder buying processes, and have the personal drive to simultaneously advance multiple priority opportunities.

The compensation range for this role is $150K - $170K, plus a discretionary bonus.
