Hyatt Regency Vancouver is seeking a dedicated, professional, customer service-orientated individual to join the Cloudstreet Restaurant team as a Server (Full-Time).

Restaurant Servers are responsible for delivering exceptional dining experiences by accurately taking guest orders, presenting food and beverage selections, and ensuring attentive, personalized service throughout each meal. In this role, the Restaurant Server will develop a strong knowledge of our menu and beverage offerings, confidentially make recommendations, and anticipated guests' needs to ensure an exceptional dining experience. Other duties include preparing the restaurant for service, maintaining a clean and sanitary environment, adhering to food safety standards, and collaborating with the Restaurant and Culinary teams to ensure seamless daily operations.

This position requires the associate to work a variety of shifts, including, but not limited to, early mornings, evenings, weekend and holidays.

Wage for this position starts at $19.55 per hour, after six months the wage is $22.80 per hour and after one year it increases to $26.06 per hour.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Must have BC Serving It Right certificate
  • Must have Food Safe Level 1 certificate
  • Must be available to work various shifts which include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays depending on business needs
  • Must have previous customer service experience
  • Must have at least one year serving experience in a hotel, restaurant or pub setting
  • Must have good upselling skills
  • Previous cash handling experience preferred
  • Knowledge and previous experience with POS Micros system is preferred
  • Must have refined and professional communication skills at all times
  • Must be able to adapt to a diverse environment
  • Must be an excellent team player and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Must have an upbeat personality and remain positive and professional at all times
