The Custodian will perform a variety of janitorial, custodial, and/or security tasks to maintain clean and safe buildings.
Responsibilities
- Clean and service restrooms
- Sweep, vacuum and moper floors and stairways
- Dust blinds, furniture, file cabinets, windowsills and other fixtures
- Scrub, strip, sanitize, wax and buff floors using powered machines and equipment
- Wash walls, ceilings, woodwork, windows, mirrors and fixtures using both step and extensions ladders
- Shampoo carpet
- Ensure all safety procedures, practices and regulations are followed before, during and after the process to foster a positive safety culture by having a safety-first mindset and approach during execution of activities.
- Remove trash from all buildings, placing it in the appropriate recycling/trash container
- Maintain an inventory of cleaning and toiletry supplies
- High school diploma or GED
- 6 months of experience in a similar role
- Ability to follow instructions
- Knowledge of proper use of chemicals
- Knowledge of standard methods, practices, tools and equipment
- Ability to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodation(s)
- Previous GMP training (preferred not required)
