Transparency matters to us. For this role, you can expect a salary between $104,000-120,000 annually, depending on experience. This is for an existing vacancy.
About The Role
A Business Development Director will be responsible for supporting the implementation of outlined Plus Company business development objectives and leading specific business development efforts alongside SVP Business Development. The responsibilities will include strategic leadership of Plus Company led RFPs and proposals, maintaining and updating thought leadership, content assets, case studies, etc. They will also work closely with the Marcom team on targeted outbound prospecting initiatives. The Business Development Director will gain exposure to a wide range of Plus Co agencies, senior teams and tasks that fall within the responsibility of the business development team.
What You’ll Get To Do
Inbound Leadership
- Strategic leadership of Plus Company led RFPs and proposals
- Review and interact with inbound leads and qualify and assign prospects
- Lead and draft sales pitches, presentations, reference material, and other documents as required by collaborating with functional individual agency teams
- Develop and implement best practices and efficient processes for managing RFPs and maintaining business development assets
- Lead and manage RFP and proposal development processes across all Plus Company led processes
- Have ultimate responsibility for accuracy and submission compliance with specific requirements
- Work closely with the Marcom team to support active opportunity communication initiatives.
- Use and implement AI powered research and proposal content development tools and solutions
- Client target list research working with Agency leads and Marcom team
- Report to the Business Development SVP on (weekly/monthly/quarterly) pipeline results
- Manage and maintain development pipeline, lead information and CRM database in Hubspot
- Collaborate with Marketing and Communication leads to implement and execute communication and thought leadership plans to support Business Development plans, initiatives and specific RFP processes..
The Director of Business Development must thrive within a matrixed, entrepreneurial environment. Success requires exceptional organization and interpersonal skills, along with an ability to solve problems on the fly. New accounts are won on the strength of relationship building, strategic thinking, quantitative analysis, a creative approach to problem solving, and convincing verbal and written communications.
Other qualifications include:
- Successful track record of building business within a digital or traditional agency environment
- Ability to collaborate with both tactical and strategic decision makers
- Superb writing and presentation skills
- Ability to independently lead RFP processes and pitches alongside agencies
- Strong project management skills and attention to detail with a high level of accuracy
- Demonstrated ability to take a consultative approach to engaging with C-level marketing executives
- Ability to communicate and contribute cross-functionally throughout the various disciplines within the region and across the network of agencies.

- Strong business / marketing strategy skills
