As a Data Strategist utilizing the Architecture of Integrated Information Systems (ARIS) software, you will lead the development and governance of Water Services' data and information management, supporting how the utility is interconnected through business processes, information artifacts, systems, reporting, and key performance indicators (KPIs).


This role is responsible for ensuring data housed in ARIS platform operates as a trusted, utility-wide repository for process models, reporting inventory, and related business information. You will work across multiple business areas to support consistent modeling practices, improve how information is structured and maintained, and enable better decision-making across the utility. Primary duties include:

  • Lead the governance of the ARIS platform, including system configuration, structure, access, standards, and ongoing maintenance to ensure it functions as a reliable, Utility-wide repository.
  • Improve consistency and quality of model content across the Utility by establishing and enforce modeling and governance standards. Developing reports and monitor and improve the quality and completeness of ARIS content, while identifying opportunities to enhance governance, tools, and processes and contributing to broader alignment and best practices.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support the use of the ARIS repository, building organizational capability and driving adoption of consistent modeling and documentation practices.
  • Define how models are created, reviewed, approved, published, archived, and updated. Ensure ARIS content remains current as processes, systems, regulations, or organizational structures change.
  • Support for transformation initiatives, ARIS content across all use cases, including business process models, reporting inventory, and KPI alignment, ensuring information is structured, connected, and supports both operational and strategic decision-making.


Qualifications

  • A degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Business, or a related field and at least 5 years of related experience.
  • Experience working with enterprise tools supporting process modeling, reporting, or data management in a complex organization.
  • Experience with ARIS or similar platforms is considered an asset.
  • Strong understanding of governance practices related to business processes, reporting, or data management.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work across business and technical teams.
