Information On The Division

Located in Kitchener the 100+ employee facility (99,000 sq. ft.) is Héroux-Devtek’s center of excellence for the machining of medium- to large-size landing gear components.

As part of the Central Division you will lead P&L responsible for critical machining operations of major commercial aircraft programs such as the Boeing 777 and Embraer E-2, business jets like the Dassault Falcon and important military programs as KC-135, MQ-25 and CH-47 Chinook.

With a strong focus on latest technology of the manufacturing processes with machining automation and techniques we aim to remain the best value producer of complex landing gear components.

Main Responsibilities

Hone inside diameter of various length and size using abrasive stones to achieve finish and tight tolerances
Finish parts using various tools such as grinders, buffers, and sanders as well as measuring equipment.
Use of measuring tools such as Bore gauges, micromotor, Height Master in imperial on every part.
Determine which tool is right for the job based on the part condition and drawing.
5-S Activities
Pre-start up inspections which incorporate Health & Safety awareness
Other duties as assigned
Adhering at all times to all company policies, procedures and health and safety requirements
Ability to take direction from and interact with co-workers in a productive and positive manner.
The ability to wear the required PPE.
Candidates must meet security screening requirements as set out by ITAR/CGP directives.
