Work Conditions :
- Applicants that are local may be given preference due to the location of the work (No Camp or LOA provided)
- As LHL is obligated to respond to various weather patterns, some shift work, on-call, and night shift will be required
- Will be provided a pay rate of $21.50/hr with increases based on experience
- Night shift premium $3/hr
- Year round employment
- Extended health, dental, pension and RSP plans
- Perform various highway maintenance tasks repair and installation of guard rails and highway signs using various hand tools including post pounders, tampers, augers, drills, ladders and other elevated work platforms
- Assist with traffic control procedures
- Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of equipment
- Perform other road maintenance duties as required
- Work outside in all weather conditions
- Successfully complete pre-employment drug and alcohol testing
- Physically able to perform demanding outdoor tasks and comfortable working at heights
- Strong knowledge and use of hand and power tools
- Must possess a valid Class 5 driver's license
- Provide a 3-year driver’s abstract
- ESC Fall Protection ticket is an asset but not required
