This role is open to remote-applicants in Canada (in Provinces where we can hire legally).
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Conduct market assessments of the Hootsuite Benefits Program, including participating in the periodic benefit surveys and contributing to the development and implementation of a global benefits plan to attract and retain high caliber talent in accordance with our talent strategy and total rewards framework.
- Collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, including multiple vendor representatives across different geographic locations. Resolve complex inquiries and challenges to ensure smooth and effective access to the benefits program for all Hootsuite employees.
- Act as a point of contact for complex inquiries related to wellness, benefits, and retirement savings programs, supporting employees, People Partners, Recruiters, and other stakeholders across Hootsuite..
- Monitor benefits, retirement and wellness program effectiveness by providing analysis as requested / required to ensure alignment with broader People team goals and recommend enhancements/changes to the plan design as appropriate.
- Obtain and review periodic reports from vendors on the utilization of benefits and make recommendations as appropriate to the Manager.
- Support Manager with annual benefits renewals for global offices. This includes maintaining an understanding of local legislative and market practice to enhance benefits offerings where appropriate.
- Organize webinars and facilitate educational sessions to inform employees of updates and changes to employee benefit programs.
- Serve as one of the subject matter experts (SME) on functional modifications and enhancements to benefit system(s) (Workday, etc.) and reporting, based on business requirements.
- Oversee day-to-day delivery of Benefits/Leave programs and initiatives, including parental leave top-up, short-term disability, etc.
- Organize and safeguard Employee Benefits policy documents and liaise with the internal legal team, as appropriate, to ensure compliance in each of our locations.
- Administer and support the ongoing management of retirement and savings programs, including RRSP, 401(k), UK pension and other applicable plans, ensuring effective coordination, employee support, and compliance with plan requirements
- Administer mobility programs, including permanent relocations, short- and long-term assignments, business travel, and commuter programs, and support manager in responding to mobility-related inquiries from employees, business leaders and the People team.Perform other related duties as assigned to support the Total Rewards team.
- Ideally have 2-5 years of Benefits experience; hold or working towards CEBS designation preferred.
- Experience with HR Systems and using benefit modules is considered an asset (preferably Workday)
- Extremely well-organized and exceptional attention to detail
- Experience working in a global organization is preferred.
- Experience with benefit plan renewals, retirement program administration and supporting governance (e.g. supporting Retirement Committees for Canada RRSP plans).
- Moderate knowledge of Excel (prefer Advanced)

Canada Pay Range For This Role: $64,600 CAD - $94,900 CAD
