Position Summary
We are seeking a Porter to work in a support capacity for the distribution center, prioritizing safety and cleanliness.
Pay Rate: $19/hour
Shift: Mon-Fri 5am-1:30pm
Essential Job Functions
- Walk around the facility picking up trash, discarded boxes, and other debris.
- Clean and sanitize common areas, including bathrooms, offices, break room, etc.
- Follow proper processes and procedures.
- Always consider safety for yourself and others.
- Utilize good communication.
- Cross train in other departments if needed.
High school Completion / GED or equivalent
General Experience Requirements
Previous warehouse experience preferred
Job/Physical Requirements
- Basic reading skills
- Must be able to write legibly
- Lifting up to 50 pounds on a constant basis
- Standing and walking 8 hours per day
- Constant walking, pushing, pulling, bending, stooping, and squatting
- Occasional balancing
- Work around fork-lifts and other miscellaneous warehouse equipment
- Exposure to noise, fumes, hot and cold temperatures
- Must be team oriented and detail oriented
- Must be able to work overtime (10-12 hour shifts) during peak periods
- Use hands to grip trash bins, boxes, trash, and other debris
- Ability to work independently as well as collaborate in a team environment.
- Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
- Capable of taking direction and receiving constructive criticism from internal reviews.
