Key Responsibilities
- Load Inspection: Check incoming loads for prohibited, hazardous, or recyclable materials to ensure environmental compliance.
- Traffic Control: Direct customers and vehicles to appropriate dumping, recycling, or disposal areas in a safe and efficient manner.
- Safety Enforcement: Ensure all visitors follow site safety protocols, including wearing proper PPE and remaining in designated safe areas.
- Site Maintenance: Help maintain overall cleanliness of the site, clear debris, and support routine upkeep of work areas.
- Operational Security: Manage access to the site, assist with opening and closing gates, and monitor for unauthorized or illegal dumping activities.
- Customer Service: Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers using the facility.
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Safety-conscious with attention to detail
- Able to stand, walk, and perform light to moderate physical duties
- Previous experience in waste management, traffic control, or site operations is an asset
- Valid driver’s license considered an asset
