Buckland is looking for an Air & Ocean Specialist, Intermediate
What You’ll Be Doing
This position is responsible to coordinate the handling of documentation and advances for clearance, delivery of freight after clearance, and monitoring and control all entry/entry summary preparation to ensure shipments are entered in accordance with the Canada Customs Act.

- Provide the highest level of customer service to clients, vendors, and service providers.
- Complete more complex customs entries with minimal guidance.
- Complete high volume of entries as defined by performance benchmarking.
- Resolve issues that arise with Customs clearance (reject notices, eManifest errors, paper packages, RMD Corrections) with minimal guidance.
- Ability to accurately complete final Invoicing of customs entries to CBSA within the allotted timeframe.
- Strong understanding of all FTA’s and when to apply them to shipments.
- Review accuracy of entries complete by other team members as required.
- Handle queries in a prompt, efficient and professional manner.
- Clear and trace shipments through to delivery.
- Request payment, original documents, and send delivery instructions as required.
- Report issues to Team Leader or Supervisor.
- Support fellow team members and Team Leader with tasks as needed/required.
- Nurture client relationships to ensure repeat business.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of relevant work experience.
- Intermediate MS Office experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks.
- Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills
- Must be legally eligible to work for the Company at all times.
- Valid Passport ability to occasionally travel if required to other offices locations in CAD/USA/MEX.
