What You'll Be Doing
Working alongside our Early Childhood Educators, you will help provide high-quality care and meaningful experiences for the children in our programs.
Your Day May Include
- Engaging and supervising children.
- Supporting play-based and child-led learning experiences.
- Helping prepare and participate in creative, sensory, physical and outdoor activities.
- Encouraging children's independence, problem-solving and social skills.
- Supporting children in developing friendships, cooperation, empathy and respect for others.
- Using positive and respectful guidance techniques.
- Providing attentive supervision and maintaining a safe environment.
- Assisting children with daily routines such as meals, toileting, dressing, rest periods, arrivals and departures.
- Helping prepare, organize and maintain inviting program spaces and materials.
- Participating in outdoor play, community outings and special activities.
- Building positive relationships with children, families and fellow Staff.
- Working collaboratively with ECEs and other members of our team.
- Following SLC policies and procedures and Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care requirements.

Qualifications
Applicants should:
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Have completed, or be willing to complete, the 40-hour Child Care Assistant course recognized by the Province of Manitoba, where required.
- Hold or be willing to obtain current First Aid and CPR certification appropriate for the children in our care.
- Be willing and able to meet all requirements for employment in a licensed Manitoba Early Learning and Child Care facility, including required background and registry checks.

Hours of Operation: Monday to Friday, 6:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
