GFL Environmental is currently seeking a skilled Parts Technician to join our dynamic team in Edmonton, Alberta!

Position Overview: The Parts Administrator plays a crucial role in our operations, responsible for the daily monitoring, tracking, and maintenance of all inventories, purchase orders, and invoices. In this role, you will enhance and streamline the inventory process, ensuring optimal customer service while adhering to Company policies, procedures, and federal/state regulations.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Two (2) or more years of inventory control or parts management experience
  • Google Workspace proficiency
  • Journeyman designation preferred but not required

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the inventory control system to maintain necessary equipment and part levels within budgetary constraints
  • Receive and label inventory appropriately; maintain a well-organized and systematic inventory area
  • Conduct physical counts, including cycle counts, and reconcile actual stock count
  • Monitor and address aged inventory, collections, and returns
  • Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual audits
  • Initiate and process orders for parts and materials through the Company's internal system
  • Collaborate with vendors to assess price, availability, and services for new products
  • Obtain quotes for purchases and handle warranty parts, processing related documents
  • Manage vendor repair orders, purchase orders, and invoices, addressing disputes and processing corrections
  • Expedite parts and services as needed to support production
  • Ensure received products align with purchase order specifications
  • Adhere to environmental compliance, energy savings, and recycling requirements
  • Provide recommendations to the Maintenance Manager for cost-saving initiatives and offer insights into material purchasing
