Reporting to the Security Services Manager, the Physical Security Representative is responsible for overseeing physical security operations, and PSPC compliance inspection activities across Lockheed Martin Canada's Dartmouth and Halifax sites. The role supports organizational compliance with the Contract Security Program (CSP) and Controlled Goods Program (CGP) requirements while ensuring the effective implementation of physical security measures and regulatory obligations. The role also supports routine processes related to access control, CSP, and CGP.
Responsibilities Include
- Act as an Alternate Company Security Officer (ACSO) for the Contract Security Program (CSP)
- Leading all physical compliance inspections for CSP and CGP for Dartmouth and Halifax sites
- Create, maintain, and periodically review Site Threat and Risk Assessments (TRAs)
- Serve as the primary point of contact for physical security activities and requests.
- Monitor and investigate security alarms, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions.
- Conduct scheduled reviews and maintenance of access permissions and user access lists.
- Develop, update, and maintain security floor plans for assigned sites.
- Manage lockup inventories ensuring compliance with PSPC physical security requirements.
- Administer and maintain the Kantech access control system for Dartmouth and Halifax sites in accordance with corporate security policies.
- Support security contractor site visits for access control system maintenance
- Work with relevant internal and external stakeholders on facility modifications with regards to requirements for installation of access controls and monitoring equipment
- Act a Security On-Call every third month
- Receive and respond as necessary to alarm calls received
- 3-5 years professional experience
- Experience within physical security with elements listed in key responsibilities.
- Strong working knowledge of government security policies, guidance, and standards, especially as pertains to Zoning, Security Zones, alarms, doors, locks.
- Self-starter with strong attention to detail
- Experience maintaining confidentiality
- Familiarity with the CGP and CSP and their implementation
- Experience completing TRA’s
- Confident in navigating difficult and sensitive conversations
- Skilled in conducting interviews
- Comfortable communicating with all levels of leadership
- Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to multi-task
- Previous ACSO and/or DO experience would be considered an asset.
