Job Title: Estimator
Job Location: Gainesville, VA
Base Salary: $80K-$110K
Requirements: 5+ years of civil estimating experience on residential, commercial and industrial sitework projects.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for accurately assessing project costs and preparing estimates for various projects, including earthwork, grading, highway, utilities, and both residential and commercial developments. The Estimator will play a crucial role in the overall project planning and budget management, ensuring that all estimates are comprehensive and competitive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review project specifications and drawings to determine project requirements and costs.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for earthwork, grading, highway, utilities, residential, and commercial projects.
- Analyze labor, material, and overhead costs to provide accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information for estimates.
- Present estimates and proposals to clients and stakeholders, addressing any questions or concerns.
- Monitor project costs and budgets throughout the life cycle of the project and provide timely updates as necessary.
- Assist in the negotiation of contracts with clients and suppliers.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Proven experience as an estimator in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations related to earthwork, grading, highways, utilities, and residential/commercial projects.
