Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Team Lead for their busy E-Commerce sorting facility in Milton. The Sortation Team Lead is responsible for overseeing daily sortation operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and safety throughout the warehouse. This role provides leadership and support to the sortation team, maintains workflow, resolves issues, and ensures all packages are sorted and dispatched according to company standards.
Duties
Lead and supervise sortation staff during daily inbound and outbound operations.
Assign tasks, monitor productivity, and ensure team members follow proper procedures.
Ensure sortation timelines are met and minimize delays.
Enforce warehouse safety standards, including proper PPE use.
Ensure equipment (pallet jacks, scanners, conveyors, etc.) is used correctly.
Report hazards, incidents, or near-misses immediately.
Provide updates to the Operations Supervisor/Manager regarding progress and challenges.
Track team attendance, performance, and productivity levels.
Document exceptions, incidents, and operational issues
Ensure all packages are scanned, sorted, and staged accurately.
Monitor exceptions (damages, mis sorts, missing labels, unable to locate, etc.) and escalate as required.
Perform random checks to maintain accuracy and compliance
Requirements
Minimum 2 years Lead Hand Exp
Previous Warehouse Or Sortation Experience Preferred.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficient with basic technology (handheld scanners, apps, tracking tools).
Shift 4-6pm to 2am
$22/hour
