What we offer
- Hourly wage: $34.36/hour
- Shift premiums: evening ($1.50/hour), night ($2.00/hour)
- Comprehensive benefits (medical and dental) and pension plan
- Travel pass after one year of service
- Uniforms and equipment provided (boots, safety glasses, helmet, gloves)
- Free parking, locker rooms, showers, and cafeteria
- 5 personal days and up to 10 sick days
- Clean interior and exterior of passenger railway cars
- Vacuum, wash carpets, wipe down tables and seating areas
- Clean and sanitize washrooms, showers, kitchen, windows
- Drain and refill potable water reservoirs
- Drain wastewater retention tanks
- Preform duties outdoors in various weather conditions
- Possess a High School Diploma
- Valid driver's license required
- Experience in housekeeping, commercial cleaning or building maintenance
- Ability to work various shifts (day, evening, night, weekends)
- Physically capable of lifting up to 23 kg (50 lbs)
- Mechanical aptitudes is an asset
- Strong focus on quality, results and efficiency
- Permanent position (40 hours per week)
- Variable schedule (days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays)
- Overtime available
- Vancouver Maintenance Center or Mission Maintenance Centre
