We are currently seeking an experienced full-time candidate for a Payroll Administrator role in our downtown Calgary location. This position is full-time, Monday to Friday and will include the following duties:
- Process full-cycle payroll for employees in Canada and the United States, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely payroll delivery.
- Administer payroll-related benefits, retirement savings programs, and Workers' Compensation reporting.
- Maintain compliance with Canadian and U.S. payroll legislation, tax regulations, and year-end reporting requirements.
- Support employees and managers with payroll, benefits, and payroll policy inquiries.
- Prepare payroll reconciliations, journal entries, and reports while supporting month-end and year-end processes.
- Participate in payroll system maintenance, process improvements, and cross-functional support with HR and Accounting.
About You
Required Skills & Qualifications to succeed in this role include:
- A minimum of 5 years payroll experience in Canada and the US
- Experience with Dayforce, FieldCap or NetSuite would be beneficial
- Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Skilled in data entry, reconciliation, and reporting
- Clear and professional communication—both written and verbal
- Discreet and trustworthy with handling confidential information
- Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently
- Solutions-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Customer-focused mindset and a collaborative approach to working with internal teams
- Relevant work experience in oil & gas services, experience with electronic ticketing system would be an asset.
