We are seeking a Housekeeper to add to our dynamic team! The Housekeeper plays a critical role in maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall appearance of commercial buildings and surrounding grounds. This position ensures that all facilities are hygienic, orderly, and well-maintained to provide a welcoming environment for employees, clients, and visitors. The housekeeper is responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and maintenance tasks, including waste removal, floor care, restroom sanitation, and other sanitation duties.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine janitorial duties including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and polishing surfaces within commercial buildings
- Clean and sanitize restrooms, replenish supplies, and ensure all hygiene standards are met consistently
- Safely lift and carry heavy objects as needed for cleaning, maintenance, or supply transport tasks
- Adhere strictly to safety procedures to prevent accidents and maintain a safe working environment for all building occupants
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, restrooms, tubs and showers, day rooms
- Clean offices, public areas, laundry rooms, and nurses’ stations
- Clean all fixtures and accessories in all areas
- Vacuum and spot clean all carpeted areas
- Sweep and mop all tile and concrete areas
- Pull trash
- Replenish paper towels, soap, toilet paper and liquid soap, as needed
- Water shrubs and plants inside the facility
- Issue linens and ensure adequate linen supply by taking regular inventories
- Monitor inventory of housekeeping chemicals and supplies and report to Supervisor
- Proven experience in janitorial or custodial work within commercial buildings.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and carrying heavy weights safely.
- Familiarity with standard safety procedures and cleaning chemicals.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to operate a box truck.
- Basic computer skills to manage work orders and communicate effectively.
