The salary range for this position is $93,000 - $128,000, which will be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
Position Summary
BoM Specialists are responsible for creating and maintaining engine model bills-of-material (BoM) in Oracle MRP system and corresponding configurator rules in Oracle Configurator Developer (OCD) based on product management and engineering design specifications. Additionally, drive engineering change coordination by managing engineering change order (ECO) implementation, coordinating cross-functional stakeholders, and ensuring the successful release of new and revised items.
Key Responsibilities
- Create/maintain Oracle Configurator user interface
- Develop statement rules for ATO model standard and option BOM structures
- Complete engineering change orders to configured units
- Create and maintain ATO model bills-of-material library
- Research, troubleshoot, and analyze configurator issues
- Review & verify configured BOMs for accuracy
- Coordinate and chair the Change Control Process (CCB) process meetings.
- Maintain engineering BoM integrity as updates are made to implementation dates
- Maintain & communicate BoM requirement changes to released work orders
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Management, or an equivalent field from an accredited Technical College or University
- Three (3) years of experience working within an ERP system with exposure to bills-of-material and Item master practices
- One year (or internship) in materials or inventory planning or engineering project release experience in one of the following:
- Coordinating engineering change orders to industrial products with a complex BOM
- Scheduling manufacturing, assembly or service part operations. Working with associated organizational functions in the engineering change order process.
- Experience with a product configurator
- Oracle Business System experience
- APICS CPIM certification
- Communication and interpersonal skills required to lead effectively with engineering and interdepartmental teams
- Industrial product exposure
- Demonstrated experience in process-oriented work
- Strong time management and prioritization skills
- Ability to work in fast paced team environment
- Demonstrated proficiency in written, oral and presentation skills
- Organizational skills required to effectively handle multiple tasks and performance metrics
