Key Responsibilities
- Inspect finished products for defects, damage, or inconsistencies according to quality standards.
- Use measuring tools, visual checks, and other methods to verify product quality.
- Identify and report non-conforming materials or products to the appropriate supervisor.
- Package approved products neatly and securely for shipment or storage.
- Label packaging accurately according to customer or internal specifications.
- Follow safety, and quality procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with production staff to ensure timely order fulfillment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Assist in training new team members on quality and packing procedures as needed.
- Previous experience working in manufacturing facility
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, labels, and product specifications.
- Basic math and computer skills for recordkeeping and labeling.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, lift, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Willingness to cross-train and support other areas as needed.
- Able to lift to up 50lbs multiple times a day
- Able knee, squat and bend for extended periods of time
Work is performed while standing, sitting and/or walking. This position requires the ability to communicate effectively using speech, vision and hearing. Requires the use of hands for simple grasping and fine manipulations. This position may often require bending, squatting, crawling, climbing, reaching. Incumbent will regularly be around moving machinery as well as marked changes in temperature and humidity.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This position requires work in a warehouse setting, with some outdoor exposure during the workday. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines, and standard warehouse equipment such as hand trucks, box cutters and tape dispensers.
