From maintaining work areas to assisting production zones, your efforts ensure that thousands of shipbuilders have the environment they need to build the vessels that protect our nation. What You Can Earn
- Starting pay of $28.64 per hour.
- Opportunities for overtime, training, skill development, and long‑term career growth.
- Perform general labor and custodial duties including emptying trash cans, mopping floors, cleaning restrooms, polishing mirrors, and maintaining utility closets.
- Strip and wax floors, clean windows, and ensure common areas meet facility standards.
- Pick up and dispose of trash in company parking lots, production areas, and yard spaces.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work environments across the shipyard.
- Support production needs through general assistance and material movement when required.
- Work in a variety of indoor and outdoor industrial environments.
- Must be available to work any shift in a 24/7 manufacturing environment.
Laborers are the foundation of shipyard operations. Your attention to cleanliness, safety, and order helps create an environment where shipbuilders can perform at their best. Every task you complete directly supports the construction and maintenance of the vessels that operate around the world in defense of our country.
What You Bring
- Experience performing general labor, custodial, or industrial facility work (preferred)
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and prolonged standing
- Reliability, strong work ethic, and commitment to safety
- Willingness to work in both indoor and outdoor shipyard settings
- A team‑focused mindset and readiness to learn new skills
Three (3) are more years experience in Hospital, Hotel, or commercial janitorial cleaning services
Nice to Have
Shipyard or heavy construction experience. High School diploma or equivalent.
