What will your typical day look like?

As a Client Engagement Coordinator (CEC), you will play a critical role in enabling the success of our tax practice by taking ownership of the lifecycle of client engagements. You will act as a central point of coordination across Partners, practitioners, clients and support team ensuring engagements are delivered efficiently, compliantly, and with a high standard of client service.

In this role, you will combine engagement management, operational coordination, and financial oversight to drive seamless execution from initial setup through to billing and file completion, while proactively identifying opportunities to improve processes, enhance the client experience, and support practice growth.

Key responsibilities will include:

Engagement lifecycle management

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end client engagement lifecycle, from initial setup through to file wrap-up, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and in accordance with quality and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate with Partners and engagement teams to track deadlines, milestones, and approvals, maintaining alignment with client expectations and regulatory requirements.
  • Support file wrap-up activities, ensuring engagements are audit-ready and meet internal standards. \

Financial & billing coordination

  • Support the billing lifecycle, including WIP monitoring, invoice preparation, billing analysis, and coordination of collections activities.
  • Monitor WIP, AR, and billing status, proactively identifying risks and working with Partners to drive timely billing and cash collection.
  • Identify opportunities to improve recoverability and support revenue growth, including highlighting out-of-scope work and value-added services

Stakeholder & team coordination

  • Act as a key point of coordination for Partners, clients, and cross-functional teams to ensure efficient delivery of services and resolution of issues.
  • Provide proactive updates to leadership and engagement teams on engagement status, risks, and upcoming deadlines.
  • Foster collaboration across teams by sharing best practices and supporting colleagues during peak periods.

Compliance & risk management

  • Coordinate compliance activities, including contract management, independence requirements, and regulatory filings.
  • Manage approvals (e.g., conflict checks, engagement setup requirements) and ensure all necessary documentation is completed and maintained.

Systems & reporting

  • Maintain and update engagement data across firm systems (e.g., CRM, Intela, Source), ensuring accuracy and completeness of records.
  • Develop and maintain trackers and dashboards to monitor engagement progress, key deadlines, and financial metrics.
  • Provide regular reporting and insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency.

You are someone with:

  • 3–5 years of experience in engagement management, client delivery, or a similar role within a professional services environment
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities with a high degree of accuracy
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and drive progress in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to communicate with and influence senior team members and partners
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and professionalism
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate needs, identify risks, and drive solutions forward
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a hybrid team environment
  • Flexibility to support peak periods as required

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $51,000 - $77,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program.
