Location: Hybrid 3 days (offices in NYC, Denver, CO and Charlotte, NC area)

Position Responsibilities

  • Analyze pharmacy claims, medical claims, and clinical datasets.
  • Independently develop and deliver ad hoc and recurring analytics supporting clinical program management, formulary strategy, utilization review, savings identification, and regulatory reporting.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver data-driven solutions that address business needs.
  • Integrate quantitative and qualitative analyses to evaluate program performance, utilization trends, member disruption, and financial impact.
  • Develop dashboards, automated reporting solutions, and data visualizations to support internal and external reporting needs.
  • Translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations and present results to audiences ranging from operational teams to senior leadership.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to acquire, validate, and reconcile data required for reporting and analytics initiatives.
  • Lead portions of cross-functional projects, contributing analytical expertise while helping identify process improvement, automation, and optimization opportunities.
  • Create and maintain documentation, methodologies, data definitions, and business rules supporting clinical reporting and analytics processes.
  • Review peer analyses for accuracy and consistency, promote best practices in data and code quality, and provide mentorship to junior analysts.
  • Support departmental quality controls, governance standards, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 4 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, healthcare consulting, benefits consulting, financial consulting, or a related analytical field.
  • 2+ years of PBM, health plan, healthcare services, or related industry experience.
  • Experience working directly with pharmacy claims and/or medical claims data.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience querying large, complex datasets.
  • Proficient with Python for data analysis.
  • Proficient with GitHub and version control workflows.
  • Experience with Tableau and data visualization.
  • Experience performing complex analyses and communicating insights to business stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of statistics, data modeling, and healthcare analytics methodologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.

  • Experience leading small projects, mentoring team members, or coordinating work across multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience identifying and implementing process automation opportunities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

New York, NY Salary Range: $124,000 USD - $155,000 USD

Denver, CO Salary Range: $113,600 USD - $142,000 USD

Charlotte, NC Salary Range: $103,200 USD - $129,000 USD
