Responsibilities:
• Create original copy that reflects the project brief, brand standards, audience needs, and delivery expectations across a variety of formats.
• Lead mid-level writing assignments from initial intake through final delivery, maintaining momentum and quality with limited daily supervision.
• Articulate the reasoning behind messaging decisions by connecting creative choices to campaign goals, target audiences, and overall strategy.
• Organize timelines, manage priorities, and provide regular updates to project stakeholders regarding progress, questions, and potential challenges.
• Work alongside designers, art directors, strategists, and account partners to ensure messaging remains cohesive across campaigns and channels.
• Participate in creative discussions by proposing fresh headline options, messaging directions, and content concepts that elevate the work.
• Support entry-level writers on shared assignments by offering constructive feedback and copy direction when needed.
• Conduct market, audience, and competitive research to inform content development and strengthen strategic recommendations.
• Contribute written ideas and conceptual thinking for presentations, pitches, and other business development initiatives when requested.
• Develop digital content such as website pages, landing pages, and conversion-focused copy that supports discoverability, readability, and brand consistency.
• 2–6 years of copywriting experience within an agency, studio, in-house creative team, or freelance environment.
• Portfolio showcasing strong conceptual ability, strong writing skills, and versatility across multiple content types and communication channels.
• Demonstrated ability to translate a strategic brief into effective messaging aligned with audience, tone, objective, and desired action.
• Strong adaptability in writing style, with the ability to extend a central idea across campaigns, email, web, and promotional content.
• Excellent organizational skills and sound judgment when balancing priorities, identifying risks, and working independently.
• Clear communication skills and comfort collaborating with internal teams as well as participating in client-facing conversations when appropriate.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and collaborative project tools; experience with or willingness to use Asana is preferred.
• Familiarity with SEO-conscious and AI-aware content practices, including writing structured, user-friendly web copy that performs well in search and digital experiences.
