Position Summary
The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing a portfolio of standard service and passive customer accounts through a remote and reactive engagement model. This role owns the complete sales cycle—from opportunity qualification and proposal coordination through negotiation, closing, and contract renewals—while maintaining strong commercial relationships with customers over time. The position is full time on-site at our Toronto, ON location.
The successful candidate will be highly organized, customer-focused, and comfortable working in a technical or industrial environment. This role is ideal for a sales professional who thrives in a high-volume account management setting and is motivated by delivering excellent customer service and achieving revenue retention and growth objectives.
What You’ll Do
- Manage the full sales cycle for assigned customer accounts, including opportunity qualification, proposal development, negotiation, closing, and ongoing account management.
- Prepare proposals for standard service offerings and coordinate with Technical Representatives on opportunities requiring technical scoping or specialized expertise.
- Manage contract renewals and ensure timely renewal discussions to support revenue retention goals.
- Respond promptly to customer inquiries and commercial requests received through multiple channels, meeting established service-level expectations.
- Qualify new opportunities using structured sales and commercial methodologies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all customer interactions, opportunities, and sales activities within the CRM system.
- Identify indicators of increased customer potential and recommend account reclassification or additional sales engagement where appropriate.
- Collaborate with technical, operations, and customer support teams to identify commercial opportunities arising from service interactions.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships that support long-term satisfaction and business growth.
- Support sales initiatives and contribute to achieving team revenue and retention targets.
What We’re looking for
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, customer success, or a related commercial role.
- Experience managing customer relationships through phone, email, and other digital engagement channels.
- Familiarity with CRM systems and disciplined sales activity tracking; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 or similar platforms is an asset.
- Experience managing multiple customer accounts and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build credibility and maintain professional customer relationships.
- Knowledge of sales qualification methodologies, negotiation techniques, and deal-closing processes.
- Customer-focused mindset with a strong commitment to achieving business objectives and delivering exceptional service.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage a high volume of commercial activities while maintaining accuracy.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize effectively, and make sound decisions within established guidelines.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Technical Studies, Business, or a related field.
- Experience working within TIC, technical, industrial, engineering, testing, inspection, certification, utilities, energy, or related environments.
- Comfort communicating with technical stakeholders and discussing technical service offerings and terminology.
- Experience supporting contract renewals, revenue retention initiatives, and account growth activities.
- Familiarity with structured sales processes and account portfolio management.
