Robertson is seeking a skilled Business Analyst - IT I to join our client in support of an existing vacancy.
Contract Period: 6 months with potential to extend
Pay Rate: Starting from $30 per hour

Job Responsibilities:
- Analyze and document business processes related to operational risk, including risk identification, assessment, and mitigation
- Collaborate with stakeholders to elicit, define, and document business and functional requirements for Risk IT initiatives
- Develop clear and comprehensive business requirement documents (BRDs) and functional specifications to support system enhancements and risk reporting
- Apply relational data concepts to support source-to-target data mapping and document data flows for enterprise data lake ingestion and reporting solutions
- Partner with Agile teams to support delivery of risk-related solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and timelines
- Conduct gap analysis and exploratory data analysis to identify improvement opportunities and inform solution design
- Bachelors in information technology degree required
- 2 years of IT Business Analyst experience required
- Demonstrated ability to translate business and technical requirements into clear documentation, including business requirement documents (BRDs), process flows, and data mappings
- Solid understanding of Agile delivery methodologies, with experience using tools such as Jira and working within Scrum teams
- Strong SQL proficiency and data analysis skills
- Working knowledge of enterprise data lake architectures and cloud-based data platforms
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Experience with RSA Archer or similar GRC platforms
- Certifications in Agile methodologies, business analysis, or risk management
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks related to operational risk (e.g., Basel, OSFI guidelines)
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
- Familiarity with Azure data platforms and services, including Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Databricks
- Experience with Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Jira
- Experience with Archer (Nice to Have)
- Experience with business requirements
- Experience with SQL
- Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Power BI or Tableau
- Agile and Azure Data Lake is an asset
