About the Firm
Our client is a leading global investment bank with a strong reputation in growth-oriented sectors and a well-established healthcare investment banking platform. The firm advises public and private companies on a range of strategic transactions, including M&A, equity capital markets, and other corporate finance initiatives.
The team is highly active across life sciences, with particular exposure to med tech, diagnostics, biotech, and other healthcare innovation subsectors. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative, execution-focused platform where junior bankers receive meaningful client exposure, strong transaction experience, and the ability to take on significant responsibility early.
The Opportunity
The firm is seeking an experienced Investment Banking Senior Analyst or Junior Associate to join its healthcare / life sciences investment banking team, specifically within its MedTech M&A practice. The ideal candidate will have completed at least 1–3 years of investment banking experience and will bring hands-on M&A execution experience, strong technical skills, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced client-service environment.
This role is best suited for a candidate currently working in investment banking at a bulge bracket or middle-market platform who has closed M&A transaction experience and is looking to join a highly active, sector-focused team. Experience with public company clients, equity capital markets, or life sciences transactions is strongly preferred but not required.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of M&A, equity capital markets, and strategic advisory transactions across the healthcare / life sciences sector
- Build and maintain detailed financial models, valuation analyses, merger models, accretion / dilution analyses, and other transaction-related materials
- Prepare client presentations, pitch books, management presentations, board materials, confidential information memoranda, and other marketing documents
- Conduct company, industry, and market research to support live transactions and business development initiatives
- Coordinate due diligence processes, including managing data rooms, tracking diligence requests, and liaising with internal and external transaction parties
- Analyze public company filings, precedent transactions, comparable companies, equity research, and sector trends
- Partner closely with senior bankers and clients throughout all phases of transaction execution
- Mentor and support junior analysts where applicable, particularly for candidates joining at the Junior Associate level

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated investment banking professional with strong execution experience, excellent analytical skills, and a demonstrated interest in healthcare, life sciences, or MedTech.

- Demonstrated ability to take ownership of workstreams and operate with limited supervision
- Interest in joining a sector-focused investment banking platform with significant transaction activity
Location
The firm has a strong preference for candidates located in Boston or San Francisco. Exceptional candidates based in New York may also be considered.
Ideal Background
This opportunity is primarily targeted toward candidates currently working in investment banking who have meaningful M&A execution experience. Strong candidates will likely come from middle-market or bulge bracket investment banking platforms and will have direct experience supporting closed M&A transactions.
