Elevation Technical Services is building a high-performing Construction Management and Contract Administration team to support a major grading and earthworks infrastructure project in Alberta.

We are seeking experienced Field Inspectors (Grading / Earthworks) to represent the Owner’s interests, ensuring high-quality delivery, contract compliance, and efficient project execution.

Location: Alberta

Note: Valid Class 5 driver's license and personal vehicle required for specific on-site roles.

Education

  • Civil Engineering Technology diploma or equivalent

Experience

  • 5+ years in grading, excavation, and earthworks inspection
  • Experience with roadway or corridor construction projects

Skills

  • Inspection of: Excavation and compaction; Subgrade and granular placement
  • Interpretation of drawings and specs
  • Field reporting and QA documentation

About The Project Scope

  • Large-scale grading and earthworks construction
  • Transportation corridor and infrastructure development
  • Contractor oversight, QA/QC, and compliance monitoring

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent the Owner on-site and in project coordination
  • Ensure compliance with: Drawings, specifications, safety and regulatory standards
  • Monitor: Schedule, budget, and quality
  • Support contract administration and reporting

Preferred Certifications

  • P.Eng., EIT, or CET (APEGA) for senior/technical roles
  • Safety certifications (e.g., CSTS, First Aid)
  • Relevant QA/QC or materials certifications

Compensation

  • $80,000 – $110,000 annually (avg ~ $99K)
