Role Summary

DuroVac is looking for a full-time Light Machine Assembler to join our Production Team in Mississauga, Ontario. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling industrial vacuum systems according to engineering drawings, instructions, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and complete assigned machine builds.
  • Assemble machines following assembly instructions.
  • Keep the work area clean and organized.
  • Perform basic visual inspections of parts and report any issues to quality control.
  • Follow all safety procedures and work in a safe, proactive manner.
  • Report equipment issues, safety concerns, or process problems promptly.
  • Dispose of skids, recycling, and garbage as required.
  • Take on other related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Understanding of English, spoken and written: Good to above average.
  • Ability to use standard industrial shop tools.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 70 LBS.
  • Use of forklift: Willing to learn.
  • Access and use of a mobile cell phone.
  • May be required to stand for long periods of time.
  • Time management, self-organization & hard-working.
  • Autonomy and self quality verification.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, assembly, or a related production environment is preferred.
  • Mechanically inclined with the ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
  • Ability to read and follow assembly drawings, work instructions, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail, reliability, and a willingness to learn.

Work Schedule & Conditions

  • Typical: 8 hour shifts, 5 days / week, occasional overtime
  • Mississauga, ON L5T 1X5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
