The Opportunity
Reporting to the Team Lead or Supervisor, the Housekeeper is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in non-production areas such as offices, washrooms, lunchrooms, gym and common spaces. This role performs routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, waste removal, and restocking supplies. The Housekeeper is cross trained in basic sanitation procedures and supports both the Sanitation team and office staff during peak periods, ensuring a clean, safe, and professional environment across the facility.
What You'll Do
Facility Cleaning & Housekeeping
- Sweeps, mops, vacuums, and sanitizes floors in offices, hallways, gym, lunchrooms and common areas
- Cleans and disinfects washrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, and fixtures
- Empties trash, replaces liners, and disposes of waste according to procedures
- Restocks paper towels, soap, toilet paper, and other supplies
- Dusts furniture, shelves, and surfaces in office areas
- Operates dishwasher to keep dishes and utensils clean
- Keeps coffee machines clean and ready for use
- Keeps staff kitchens tidy and organized
- Assists Sanitation Technicians and Associates with basic cleaning tasks in production areas when needed
- Conducts cleaning of break rooms, locker rooms, and other shared spaces
- Responds to spill clean-up and urgent cleaning requests in non-production zones
- Participates in deep cleaning projects and special assignments
- Provides light administrative or logistical support as needed (e.g., mail distribution, supply allocation)
- Assists with setup for meetings or events in common areas and any other similar activities
- Follows GMPs, WHMIS, and safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals
- Wears appropriate PPE and reports safety hazards promptly
- Attends safety and sanitation training sessions

This means other duties may arise since we work together to ensure we support all business activities – seed to sale.
This role is on-site, which requires you to work on facility at all times in a Housekeeper, Sanitation role or directly supporting operations.
What You Bring
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certification in WHMIS is necessary (willing to obtain)
- Previous experience in housekeeping, janitorial, or custodial roles is an asset
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is beneficial
- Basic understanding of cleaning procedures and safety practice
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Knowledge of general cleaning methods and supplies
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
- Strong attention to detail and pride in work quality
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to quality
- Team player with strong work ethic
- Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities and to be cross trained in sanitation tasks
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Positive attitude
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 40–50 lbs on a regular basis throughout the shift,
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, and climb for extended periods
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs when handling chemicals, tools, or equipment
- Frequent use of cleaning tools and equipment (mops, vacuums, carts)
- Exposure to cleaning chemicals; must follow WHMIS and wear PPE
- Able to work in dusty environment (not allergic to dust)
- Availability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays occasionally based on production schedules
