We are seeking an experienced Data Analyst to support enterprise data initiatives by transforming complex data into meaningful business insights. This role will work closely with business stakeholders, data engineers, and technology teams to analyze data assets, identify trends and anomalies, improve data quality, and support data-driven decision making. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capabilities, advanced SQL expertise, and hands-on experience working with modern Azure-based data platforms.
Responsibilities
- Analyze large-scale enterprise datasets to identify business trends, patterns, anomalies, and opportunities for improvement.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders to define data requirements, business rules, and reporting needs.
- Perform data profiling, reconciliation, validation, and root cause analysis across multiple source systems.
- Develop complex SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze structured and semi-structured data.
- Create detailed data mappings, process flows, and data lineage documentation.
- Identify duplicate, inconsistent, and overlapping data elements and recommend remediation strategies.
- Support data governance, data quality, and master data management initiatives.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to validate data pipelines and transformation logic.
- Utilize PySpark and Azure-based data services to perform advanced analytics on large datasets.
- Contribute to the design and optimization of enterprise data models and reporting structures.
- Produce actionable insights that support operational and strategic business decisions.
- Develop documentation and knowledge-sharing materials related to datasets and business processes.
- Assist with testing and validation activities for data integration and reporting solutions.
- Ensure adherence to enterprise data standards, security requirements, and best practices.
- 5+ years of recent Data Analysis experience in enterprise environments.
- Advanced SQL expertise with demonstrated experience writing complex queries against large datasets.
- Hands-on experience with Spark technologies, specifically PySpark/Python.
- Experience working within cloud-based data platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, data profiling, and data quality methodologies.
- Experience analyzing end-to-end business processes and associated data flows.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and analytical reporting.
- Experience working with Microsoft Fabric is highly desirable.
- Exposure to Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage is preferred.
- Experience with Delta Lake architecture and lakehouse concepts is considered an asset.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and investigative skills.

- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience creating technical and business documentation.
- 5+ years of enterprise Data Analysis experience supporting complex business and data initiatives.
- Advanced SQL expertise, including development of complex queries for large-scale datasets and data validation.
- Hands-on PySpark/Python experience within Azure cloud environments.
- Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Azure Databricks, and Azure Data Lake technologies.
- Strong data profiling, data quality assessment, and business process analysis capabilities.
