Human Resources Generalist

About Senior Care Therapy

Senior Care Therapy is a leading multi-state behavioral health organization dedicated to delivering high-quality mental health and therapeutic services to older adults in senior living communities. We partner with skilled nursing facilities, assisted living communities, and continuing care retirement communities to provide compassionate, evidence-based care that improves quality of life for the residents we serve.

Our team of licensed clinicians, administrative professionals, and operational leaders share a commitment to clinical excellence, operational integrity, and meaningful impact. As we continue to grow, we are seeking talented individuals who are passionate about serving the senior population and want to be part of an organization that puts people first.

About the Role

Senior Care Therapy is seeking an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support employee relations and day-to-day HR operations across our multi-state clinical and operational teams. Reporting to the CHRO, this role serves as a trusted, hands-on resource for employees and managers — handling employee relations matters, HR and benefits questions, leave management, and background checks. This is a strong opportunity for an HR professional with employee relations experience to take on broad generalist responsibilities within a growing healthcare organization.

What You’ll Do:

  • Serve as a primary point of contact for employees and managers on employee relations matters, HR policy questions, and workplace concerns.

  • Lead the investigation and resolution of employee relations issues, including complaints, conflicts, and disciplinary matters.

  • Advise and coach managers on performance conversations, corrective action, and conflict resolution.

  • Serve as a first point of contact for employees and managers on day-to-day HR questions, including policies, procedures, and general inquiries, routing more complex issues to the appropriate partner.

  • Serve as a resource for employee benefits on enrollment, eligibility, and claims matters.

  • Maintain and improve self-service resources so employees can find what they need quickly.

  • Supports team member leave of absence/return to work.

  • Support the background check process

  • Maintain accurate, confidential HR records, including employee relations case files, leave documentation, and background check results.

  • Manage HR data across HRIS and personnel systems, ensuring accuracy, confidentiality, and audit-readiness of employee records and reporting.

  • Help ensure consistent application of HR policies across departments and locations.

  • Monitor employee relations trends and flag potential risk areas or training needs to the CHRO.

  • Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Other duties and/or projects as assigned.

What You’ll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required.

  • Minimum of three (3) years of human resources experience required, including direct experience handling employee relations matters.

  • Working knowledge of employment law (FMLA, ADA, EEO, and state leave laws) and HR best practices.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills; able to handle sensitive and confidential matters with sound judgment and discretion.

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with HRIS and benefits administration platforms preferred.

  • 1-2 years of experience in a healthcare setting, preferred.

  • HR certification, preferred.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive compensation commensurate with experience, $70,000

  • Comprehensive benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, and Short & Long-Term Disability

  • 401(k) with company match

  • Paid Time Off

  • Remote work arrangement

  • A mission-driven culture with a genuine commitment to the well-being of the seniors we serve

Senior Care Therapy is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer. We are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where all employment decisions are made on an individual basis without regard to characteristics protected by federal, state, or local law.
