Job Title: Payroll Clerk
Job Summary
Process bi-weekly payrolls accurately and on time, prepare reports & remittances, respond to employee inquiries, and collaborate with HR department, supervisors & management as required.
Responsibilities
- Preparation and balancing of bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in accordance with deadlines.
- Process changes in bonus payments (QB/PI).
- Review quality bonus data for production employees and work with supervisors to correct any discrepancies.
- Monitor schedules and timesheets and work with supervisors and managers to address missing hours.
- Process employee payroll deductions and reimbursements.
- Preparation of reports and payroll-initiated remittances.
- Assist employees with payroll inquiries, including paystubs and T4s.
- Keep detailed records to support audit requests.
- Successful completion of secondary school education or equivalent.
- Minimum two years of hands-on experience in payroll administration.
- Knowledge of ADP Payroll and Pay Specialist an asset
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of information.
- Must be detail-oriented, with high accuracy rate and possess great problem-solving skills.
- Must be organized and able to work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task.
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Must be able to work overtime and/or statutory holidays if needed to meet payroll deadlines.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact with management and production employees.
