We are looking for a Shop Helper to join our team in Kamloops, British Columbia

Salary Range

  • $25.00 per Hour

This is a great opportunity for the first step toward a long-term career in the Trades. As a Shop Helper you will play a integral role with performing minor repairs and servicing all equipment, plus assisting technicians in performing repairs as directed by the Service Supervisor. Other responsibilities include ensuring shop tools are properly stored, ensuring that the shop is clean and neat at all times, and maintaining (washing) equipment as required.The role allows you the ability to gain exposure to the heavy equipment industry from the ground up.

  • Motivation. You’ll catch on to the jobs and routines quickly and you’ll jump in to safely complete jobs thoroughly, and in a timely manner with minimum supervision. You’ll stay busy all day – and notice how time flies!
  • Stamina. This can be a physical job with heavy lifting and carrying, and you may work in hot, cold, wet, dusty or greasy environments. The pace can be fast, the hours can be long during busy cycles and you may also need to work occasional overtime. You will also realize that you need to recharge regularly – we insist that you take your vacation time!
