The Information Technology (IT) team is responsible for making sure that the ASC has the appropriate resources necessary to ensure the consistent, reliable and secure delivery of services, and understanding and anticipating the organization’s unique technology requirements.
The opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, Strategic Programs and Enterprise Delivery, the IT Business Analyst defines business needs, documents requirements, and supports the delivery and improvement of applications and processes. The role partners with stakeholders and IT teams to identify solutions, resolve issues, and improve service delivery.

Business Analysis
Key responsibilities include
- Leading business analysis activities to identify, document, and validate business needs, requirements, processes, and data or access needs.
- Working with stakeholders and IT partners to assess current and future state processes, evaluate solution options, and recommend practical improvements.
- Producing clear business analysis documentation and support solution delivery through design, testing, implementation, and issue resolution.
- Understanding the processes, plans, objectives, drivers, policies, regulations, culture and issues related to IT’s business partners at the ASC.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders to understand business goals, challenge assumptions, and support sound decision-making.
- Challenging the presumptions of business units on how to successfully execute their plans. Employing influencing skills needed to gain consensus and understanding among business units.
- Communicating analysis findings, technical considerations, and project updates to business and technical audiences.
- Supporting change management, testing, and implementation activities in partnership with business units and project teams.
- Maintaining best practices for requirements traceability, version control, change control, and stakeholder expectations.
- A degree in IT, business, or an equivalent field.
- At least five years of related experience, including at least three years working with business stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- The demonstrated ability to apply advanced business analysis techniques to identify issues and communicate them clearly to stakeholders.
- Strong client focus, relationship management, and consultation skills.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.
- CBAP, BRMP, PMP, or related certification would be an asset.
